Daily News Truck Driver Killed In Car Crash

A Daily News truck driver was killed in a car accident on Nostrand and Flushing Avenues in Brooklyn on Sunday morning. Jonathan Long, 24, was driving through an intersection when his truck collided with a green outer-borough taxi cab. The collision forced the truck to flip over.

Trevor Loftus Killed in New York Crane Accident

A negligent act by an owner and general contractor killed yet another construction worker.  An Irish man has died in New York City after part of a crane fell on top of him. The man has been named as 40-year-old Trevor Loftus. Mr. Loftus owned a construction company and worked between New York and West Limerick over the past two years. 

Crash Involving School Bus, Rental Truck, Car Demolishes New Giant Farms in Queens Injuring Dozens

Several people were seriously hurt and dozens were evaluated for potential injury after a rental truck collided with a car and school bus with children aboard, then careened through the front of a food store in Queens Friday, pinning a customer beneath it and trapping the driver inside, authorities said.  The driver and customer were pulled out of the wreckage and taken to the hospital, along with at least one badly hurt child, following the accident shortly before noon outside New Giant Farms, a market known for its fresh fruit and flower sections, on Hillside Avenue in Queens Village, officials said. 

Another Building Collapse In Midtown Manhattan Near Grand Central

Four construction workers were hurt during an interior demolition project at a midtown commercial building not far from Grand Central Terminal Tuesday, officials say.  This comes on the heels of the East Village building explosion which occurred a week and a half ago, killing two and injuring dozens.  Morgan Levine Dolan has filed a lawsuit against multiple parties in that East Village explosion on behalf of a pedestrian walking on the sidewalk.
