Mother And Daughter Killed In Queens Car Crash Identified

A mother and her young daughter were killed, and at least four others were injured, after a two-car crash in Queens last week.

Susana Ha, 42, and her daughter, Angelica Ung, 10, were killed in a collision between their 2005 Toyota Camry and a white 2006 Ford Explorer on 210th Street in Bayside around 6:30 p.m. The Ford crossed the double yellow line and slammed into the Camry, mounted the sidewalk and crashed into a fire hydrant. Police believe speed may have been a factor, according to reports.

The Camry held five family members, including Ha and Ung, who were in the backseat. Ha and Ung were pronounced dead at Long Island Jewish Hospital. An 8-year-old girl, who was in the backseat with them, is in critical condition. The children's grandfather, 74, who was the driver, and their grandmother, 67, were also in critical condition.

The driver of the Ford was a 46-year-old woman who was taken to Long Island Jewish Hospital as well. She is in stable condition.

The accident is still under investigation. No charges have been brought forth.

For grieving families, it's important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
