One Person Killed, Three Injured In Queens Crash

A female pedestrian was killed in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Junction Boulevard and the Horace Harding Expressway service road in Corona, Queens, according to reports.

According to officials, a black Porsche was speeding on the Horace Harding Expressway service road when the driver lost control. The Porsche jumped the curb and fatally struck a 21-year-old woman and injured a 26-year-old female cyclist on her bicycle.

The Porsche proceeded to drive onto Junction Boulevard where it then struck a Mini Cooper and a Toyota Camry stopped a traffic light. The driver of the Porsche stopped the car, jumped out and ran away on Junction Boulevard.

The pedestrian, bicyclist and 46-year-old driver of the Mini Cooper, whose identities have not been released, were transported to Elmhurst General Hospital. The female pedestrian was pronounced dead at the hospital. The bicyclist was listed in serious condition. The 26-year-old driver of the Camry was treated for minor injuries and released at the scene.

The alleged Porsche driver, Irene Lee, 56, of Forest Hills, fled the scene along with her passenger and was caught the following day. She is charged with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in a death and disobeying a red light.

For grieving families, it's important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
