A 79-year-old man was hit and killed when he crossed the street on Northern Boulevard in Flushing, officials said. The man was crossing Prince Street and Northern Boulevard against the light, officials said.

Two People Killed In Sunrise Highway Crash

Driver Ozcan Ayyidiz, 49, of Mastic Beach, and Kevin Melger, 23, of Brentwood, were killed when their car was driving in the wrong direction on Sunrise Highway in Brookhaven, Long Island, officials said. Another passenger, Jonathan Valladeres, 25, who was Melger's cousin, was in critical condition.
